Welcome to my NEW BLOG!

For many years my projects could be found at my previous blog - www.fatcatcreations.blogspot.com. Since my business has evolved and is now known as Cindi McGee - Behind These Eyes™ instead of Cindi Bisson - Fat Cat Creations - I thought this was the perfect time to launch a new blog. Since I've been on this creative journey for over 16 years - I have a LOT of project links out there in cyberworld! If you are looking for a particular project you have found on Pinterest, Facebook, FaveCrafts, HomeTalk, Twitter, etc. and the link is not working for you, please feel free to email me at cdjb11@yahoo.com and I'll be sure to get you the new link to the instructions. Have a creative day and remember to DARE TO BE DIFFERENT!

etchall® Countdown to New Years Flute DIY Video

Today I'm sharing the most recent episode of my series Behind These Eyes on When Creativity Knocks.  I share how easy it is to create customized count down to New Year's party flutes featuring products from etchall®, DecoArt®, Sizzix® and Makin's Clay®.    I'm also including instructions for the project here with a fully supply list.

New Year’s Eve

Count down to Year Year’s in style with these fun party flutes - custom numbered wine glass charms keep everyone’s glasses easily identified.

Materials:

etchall® - Etching Creme
              - Etchmask®
Sizzix® - Big Shot™
             - Thinlits Die Set - Alphanumeric 3/4”
DecoArt® Glass Paint Markers™ - Gold, Silver
Makin’s Clay® - White
                        - Numbers Cutter Set
                - Texture Sheet Set D - Stars
                         - Clay Tools

Instructions:

Use Sizzix® Big Shot™ and Chip Block Alphabet die to die cut numbers 1-10 with Etchmask®.

Place numbers onto glass flutes starting with 10 at top of glass, and moving downward and around glass as shown.

Apply etchall® creme to entire outside of glass.  Let set 15 minutes.  Return creme to bottle.  Rinse clean.

Remove Etchmask numbers.

Use gold and silver DecoArt® Glass Paint Markers™ to add dots around the numbers.  Let dry.

Use gold Glass Paint Marker to draw line around top rim of glass.  Let dry, then apply a second coat.

Use gold Glass Paint Marker to draw line around base rim of glass.  Let dry, then apply a second coat

Use silver Glass Paint Marker to add dots around base.

Set Glass Paint Marker by following manufacturer instructions.

For wine glass charms, roll white Makin’s Clay® using clay roller to about 1/8”.

Use Number clay cutters to cut out numbers - as many as you will need for your gathering.

Make small hole in top of each number with needle.  Let dry 24 hours.  Apply Glass Paint Marker to color each clay number on both sides.  Let dry.  Add gold hoop earring for attaching to glass stems.
