Winter's Jewels Snowflake Box
I love these papers from The Robin's Nest! I first used them on a Gift of Snowflakes Photo Cube project created for a Christmas in July blog hop this year, but couldn't resist creating another project. This snowflake box would be beautiful display don a mantle, or would be a great way to present a special gift.

Paint lid of box with “Vintage” Chalky Finish Paint (this color is a perfect match for these
papers from The Robin’s Nest!). Let dry.
Stamp on one side of painted lid with JudiKins Islamic Rosette and Snowflake stamp with Chestnut and White Cat’s Eye ink.
Cut a couple of pieces of the Winter Retreat snowflake paper, rounded on one side and fussy cut around the pattern on the other, and mount with Tacky Glue to same side as stamping, overlapping some.
Mount some of the glitter snowflake embellishments over the
stamped area and the paper.
stamped area and the paper.
Embellish some of the glitter snowflakes (already on the lid, and two more) with Diamond Dew Drops, using 527 Adhesive to hold. I also embellished my stamped white snowflake with clear Diamond Dew Drops.
Mount strip of blue velvet vertically over collaged snowflakes.
Create dimensional snowflakes with Brown Makin’s Clay® using Makin’s Christmas Nature push mold. (I made the brown to match the patterned paper)
Paint the brown clay snowflakes with Copper Smooch®. Let dry. (Clay will be fully dry in 24 hours, but can be painted while still fresh.)
Glue some of the clay snowflakes to the lid with the other snowflakes.
Cut 2 strips of white card stock about 2 1/2” wide and the height of the box, 2 strips light blue patterned paper same height x 2”, and a strip of the brown glitter snowflake card stock the same height x 1 3/4”. Ink edges with brown ink.
Layer and mount on side of box, one set on opposite sides of the box. Add glitter snowflake centered on each set.
Use 521 Adhesive to mount light blue and white Diamond Dew Drops as shown on edges of lid. Add small strip of velvet fabric on side extending down from strip on top.
