ICE Resin + Spellbinders = a Purse with Personality

My latest project for ICE Resin is part of a special assignment..... Spellbinders and ICE Resin are now cross-promotional partners and we are thrilled to be using their products together in our creations.   And of course I had to incorporate my latest obsession, metal stamping with ImpressART metal stamps.   You can find complete instructions and photos of all sides, and the many techniques I used for this mixed-media, altered wooden purse here at the ICE Resin blog.

ABC Book Set on WCK & TLC's Craft Wars

My latest project for C&T Publishing is on today's new episode of When Creativity Knocks.  The Artful Fiber kit is stuffed full of mixed-media must-haves and we've used almost all of them in this cute personalized tactile ABC book set.  There's a downloadable .pdf with instructions and templates for the alphabet and the little critters too!

Ana Araujo and I also both reviewed the new TLC show Craft Wars which premiered last night.  Having crafting back on network TV is surely something to celebrate!   My complete review is here.

Check out the Ana's Creative Chaos blog to read her review, and see her cute altered composition book pencil pouch combo!

Cherry Blossoms in ICE Resin!

I've got a new project featured on the ICE Resin blog today featuring two of the most versatile mediums I enjoy designing with - ICE Resin and Makin's Clay.  I used a bezel and ribbons from the ART Mechanique line, combined with Makin's Clay cherry blossoms on a real twig, ICE Resin and Asian coins.

Designer Crafts Connection Blog Hop - Summer Picnics

Popsicle-itis - A common ailment in our yard during the summer.
This month’s theme for the Designer Crafts Connection Blog Hop is summer picnics!   When I started thinking about a project to share I decided it would be fun to go back and look through some of my older scrapbook layouts to see if anything summer picnic related caught my eye.   While browsing my books, I was glad to notice that I hadn’t only focused on capturing the summer memories focused on trips to the pool or beach, but also those captured some of  the sweet tasting joys of summer and the unexpected fun activities the boys have enjoyed through the years.  Here is a peak at a few of those to hopefully inspire you to capture a few summer memories that may seem “out of the box” and scrapbook them for your family’s future reminiscing!

For lots more summer picnic inspiration visit the blogs of the participating designers by clicking on the Designer Crafts Blog Connection link in the column to the right!

Ahhhhh waterlmelon - sweet, juicy summer picnic fun!

Strawberries - more summer yummy fun!
Water Wars!  Squirt guns, water balloons, buckets & hoses - add together with a yard full of mischievous boys and you get one fine (soaking wet!) day!
