By the Sea Mini Album

I am so excited to have the opportunity to spend some time at Eileen Hull's "Scotty" booth at CHA!  Today I am hosting a make & take project from 12 - 2 PM.  We will be making this By the Sea Mini Album.  I thought I'd share the instructions here too!

Clearsnap® Chalk Cat’s Eye® Inks - Butter, Pumpkin Spice, Chambray

Makin’s Clay® - Sea Shells Push Mold

DecoArt® Metallic Lustre™ - Champagne Ice, Copper Kettle, Rose Gold, Iced Expresso 

Paper trimmer, scissors 

Instructions:

Die cut mat board cover using Sizzix® Big Shot™ and Mini Album die.  

Die cut coordinating patterned papers of choice of outside front, outside back, inside front and inside back covers.  

Cut 4” x 5” strip of coordinating paper.  

Ink edges of all pieces with coordinating Cat’s Eye® chalk inks.  

Use 3-in-1 Adhesive to mount papers to covers inside and out.  Fold 4” x 5” strip in half, and mount over spine of album. 

Ink seahorse stamp with Pumpkin Spice ink, stamps onto patterned paper.  Cut rectangle from stamped paper height of sea horse x about 3 3/4”.    Ink edges with Butter Cat’s Eye® ink.  Mount onto top section of cover overlapping paper on spine as shown.  

Cut “By the Sea” strip from patterned paper.  Ink with Pumpkin Spice ink.  Mount over seahorse paper as shown.   

Ink Giant Clam stamp with Chambray Cat’s Eye® ink and stamp onto inside bottom of back cover.  

Cut decorative strips from patterned paper and mount onto inside cover front and back as shown. 

Combine assorted colors from Earth Tones Makin’s Clay® set with Natural clay and create sea shells with push mold.  

Add DecoArt® Metallic Lustre® in assorted shades to clay seashells.   

Cut 2” x 2” piece of copper metal mesh.  Add a Little B™ LLC Tropical Fish and Anchor sticker.  Mount to cover of album adjacent to stamped seahorse.  

Mount clay seashells onto mesh.  Gently bend corners of mesh upward for dimension. 

  

Cut  7 sheets of coordinating papers 4” x 10”.  Fold in half.  Ink edges with coordinating Chalk inks.  Add small amount of 3-in-1 Adhesive to each fold and glue pages together.   Mount to inside center of book.

Wrap jute twine around center of pages, and tie at outside top.  

Ink edges of album with Chambray ink.
