"Gather" Etched Ceramic Pitcher

One of my favorite things about etchall® is how it can transform ordinary items, many of which I find in the local charity thrift shop, into something special.  This ceramic pitcher is a perfect blue to match my kitchen.  But, it just needed *something*…etchall® to the rescue!

Materials:

Ceramic pitcher
etchall® Creme
etchall® Stencil ComboPak
etchall® Pick Tool
Electronic die cutting machine
Instructions:
Measure surface of pitcher where you wish to etch the design. You can find a lot of options on the internet, for purchase at sites like Etsy, or you can easily make your own. I found a piece of royalty free clipart (the wreath) and just added the text in an editing program.

Use electronic die cutting machine to cut the image to be etched from etchmask.  I cut two, as I was not sure which size I wanted to use.

Use pick tool to remove unwanted etchmask.

Apply transfer paper to the etchmask.  This will ensure all the elements remain in the right place when the stencil is applied to the pitcher.

Peel away the backing of the etchmask, and carefully apply the stencil to the pitcher.  Because of the curved surface and the size of the stencil, you will have wrinkled areas and may have to fiddle a bit with the wreath to keep it in a unbroken wreath form.

Apply a thick coat of etchall creme.  Let set 15 minutes. Return creme to bottle for another project - etchall® is re-usable!
Wash pitcher and remove etchmask.
