Clearsnap® & EyeConnect Crafts - Dimensional Shimmering Peacock Totem Card

Today I am sharing a project made from some my favorite Clearsnap® products kinetic chipboard elements from EyeConnect Crafts. I also created a custom colored background with DecoArt® paints and a Gel Press™ plate.

Materials:

Clearsnap® ColorBox® Crafter’s Ink - Jungle Green, Wave

Clearsnap® ColorBox® Stylus & Tips
Clearsnap® Smooch® Accent Inks - Gold Lame, Juniper
Clearsnap® Smooch® Illuminate

Clearsnap® Designer Foils - Seaport, Lagoon, Goldmine

EyeConnect Crafts - Totem Poppet - Totem Peacock

DecoArt® Americana® Multi-Surface Satin™ - Deep Turquoise, Gold, Woodland Green

DecoArt® Americana® Acrylic - Ultramarine

Gel Press™ 5x7” plate

Double sided adhesive tape, foam tape

Brayer, scissors, paper trimmer

White paper

Green card stock

Heat tool

Instructions:

Use ColorBox® Stylus to apply Jungle green ColorBox® Crafter’s ink to tail feathers of Peacock. Use Stylus to apply Wave blue ColorBox® Crafter’s ink to body and head. Heat set to dry.

Apply Smooch® Illuminate to body and head, and to uninked feet. Apply Juniper Smooch® to feathers. Let dry.

Apply Gold Smooch® accents to feathers and head as shown. Let dry.

Using double sided tape, cut out oval shapes for “eye” of feathers. Cut off small slice at bottom. Apply to feathers over gold area. Peel off top and apply Seaport Blue Designer Foils. Remove bottom covering and apply Lagoon Blue Designer Foils.

Construct the peacock following the instructions in the packaging. I added a touch of Juniper Smooch® to the brads on his tail.

Here's how I created the background paper for the peacock:

Add drops of DecoArt® Americana® Multi-Surface Satin™ - Deep Turquoise, Gold, Woodland Green and DecoArt® Americana® Acrylic - Ultramarine to 5x7” Gel Press™ plate. Brayer lightly to blend colors. Place white paper over plate, press lightly, pull print and set aside to dry.
