Bras for A Cause - The Eye of a Tiger

My husband is brave.  Not just because he's a fireman, but because he's a fireman who cares enough about the health of women to wear a bra in public.  Yep, a bra.   A bra and his turnout gear & helmet.  But not just because he wants to......... he's part of the local Bras for A Cause Charity Auction this Thursday, October 20th.   Each participant was asked to bring a "decorated" bra......and choose a song they wanted to walk the runway to.   After much thought, it was decided that Danny would do his strut to the song ROAR by Katie Perry.  This part of the lyrics just seemed appropriate for the fight against breast cancer:

You held me down, but I got up (hey)
Already brushing off the dust
You hear my voice, your hear that sound
Like thunder, gonna shake your ground
You held me down, but I got up
Get ready 'cause I've had enough
I see it all, I see it now
I got the eye of the tiger, a fighter
Dancing through the fire
'Cause I am the champion, and you're gonna hear me roar
Louder, louder than a lion
'Cause I am a champion, and you're gonna hear me roar
And of course, since we decided on that song, his bra had to be the EYES OF THE TIGER.
So the task of transforming this $3.00 clearance rack bra into a "roaring work of art" began....
I used DecoArt® Americana® Multi-Surface Satin™ acrylics to hand paint the decorative eyes & stripes.   A mixture of Muted Gold and Paprika was perfect for creating just the right tone for his bold "orange" coloring.   Black Tie & Cotton Ball were used for the stripes.
