Ava Rae's Etched Cookies for Santa Plate

Our first granddaughter is arriving around November 23rd!  Just in time for her first Christmas!  I wanted to create a special Cookies for Santa plate for her to have as she grows up and the magic of Christmas fills her world each winter!  etchall® was the perfect option to create a plate for her and not have to worry about the design ever 'wearing off', etc.

Materials:

etchall® Creme
etchall® Stencil Combo Pack
etchall® Squeegee
etchall® Pick Tool
Clear glass plate
Electronic die cutting machine
DecoArt® Glass Paint Markers™ - Red, Green, Metallic Gold
Scissors

Instructions:

Select font and image and determine proper sizing for the plate you are using.
Use electronic die cutter to cut images and text from etchmask®.

Use pick tool to remove lettering and images, the negative space is what is being used to etch the images.

Apply transfer paper from Combo Pack over the stencils.  Using the transfer paper ensures you will get all the tiny bits of etchmask to complete your images when transferring to the surface.
Transfer stencils to the plate.

Apply a thick coat of etchall® creme.  Let set 15 minutes.  Return creme to bottle - etchall® is re-usable!

Wash plate and remove etchmask.

Use DecoArt® Glass Paint Markers™ - red, green and metallic gold, to create a dotted border around center of plate.  Heat set according to manufacturer instructions.
