Mermaid Mask & Polymer Clay Adventure in Paradise Retreat

I just returned from a week of creativity at the Polymer Clay Adventure in Paradise in Kill Devil Hills, NC.  It was an amazing experience to be surrounded by almost 30 creative women and to take some awesome classes from some of the top polymer clay instructors in the industry.     Lisa Renner taught an amazing "Sea Goddess" vessel workshop - each of the finished vessels was so unique - and everyone did a fantastic job!  Syndee Holt shared several fabulous techniques that we were all obsessed with trying.  Ilysa Ginsburg taught us how to cane - something I have wanted to learn for over 15 years since seeing Donna Kato do it on the Carol Duvall Show!   And Kyra Slye taught us how to create mermaid masks custom made to fit our own faces.   We also had a fabulous bead swap - I am blown away by the creativity of all of these artists!

I admired a handmade ring made by Moyra Riley   on the last morning of the retreat, and she generously gave it to me - I LOVE IT!  It was a wonderful adventure, a great chance to get to know some amazingly creative ladies, and to make new friends.
