Floral Disc Clay Earrings
Be ready for spring & summer with these colorful floral disc earirngs. Change the shape or flower color to match any outfit you’d like. The Metallic Lustre gives a bit of shimmer beneath the Diamond Glaze finish. I'm also sharing these this week in my Cindi's Creative Solutions article for When Creativity Knocks.
Materials:
Makin’s Clay® - White 60g
Makin’s® Round Clay Cutter Set, Clay Roller
JudiKins™ Tropical Stained Glass rubber stamp
JudiKins™ Diamond Glaze™
Permanent black ink pad
DecoArt® Metallic Lustre™ - Elegant Emerald, Cosmic Blue, Polished Coral
Cotton swabs, water
Silver earring wires, jump rings in 2 sizes
Jewelry pliers
Instructions:
Roll white clay to about 1/8” thick.
Ink stamp with permanent black ink and stamp onto rolled clay - press gently to create impression with image in clay.
Use largest round cutter from 3 piece set to cut 2 discs from image.
Use cotton swabs, with a touch of water, to paint the areas of the image with the Metallic Lustres. I also brought the color down to the sides of each disc. Let dry.
Make small hole at top of each disc for jump rings.
On reverse side of discs, apply Metallic Lustre as desired. Let dry.
Let clay dry 24 hours.
Apply Diamond Glaze to front of earrings. Let dry. Apply Diamond Glaze to back of earrings. Let dry.
Add jump rings and earring wires.
