Smoothfoam™ NOEL Vintage Santa Blocks

Smoothfoam™ blocks, DecoArt® finishes and Beacon™ Adhesives  are used to create these decorative blocks for Christmas.

These oversized Noel Vintage Santa Blocks are a great way to use Smoothfoam™ cubes that may be slightly damaged - the dents and damage just add to the vintage feel.  

Materials:

4 - 4” x 4” Smoothfoam™ Cubes 

DecoArt® - Metallic Lustre™ - Gold Rush

        - Americana Decor™ Chalky Finish Paint - Rouge, Enchanted, Timeless 

                - Americana Decor™ Creme Wax - Golden Brown 

Beacon™ 3-in-1 Adhesive 

Pencil, paint brushes, paper towels, tape measure or other rectangular solid item to create indentation in blocks.  

Instructions: 

Paint all sides of four 4”x4” Smoothfoam™ cubes with Timeless Americana Decor™ Chalky Finish Paint.  Let dry. 

To create effect of wooden alphabet blocks, use bottom of tape measure, or other rectangular solid item, to press into all sides of cubes about 1/2” from each edge over entire middle area.

Apply Creme Wax with paper towel, remove while still wet to age cubes. 

Trace or draw letters with pencil on blocks to spell out NOEL.

Paint N and E with Rouge Chalky Finish paint.  Paint O and L with Enchanted Chalky Finish paint.  Let dry. 

Print 9 Vintage Santa images 3” x 3”.

Use Beacon™ 3 in 1 Adhesive to mount vintage Santa images to top, left and right sides of N block, and left and right sides of O E and L blocks. 

On blocks with red letters, paint fine line around each vintage Santa image with green paint.  On blocks with green letters, paint fine line around each vintage Santa image with red paint.  Let dry. 

Use fingertip to apply gold Metallic Lustre™ on all sides of each cube around raised edges.
