Maker Faire Bay Area 2012

Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles!
Duck tape robot and sock monkey made with real socks - fun peep boards enjoyed by many at Maker Faire!
I spent a whirlwind few days at Maker Faire Bay Area in San Mateo this weekend with the When Creativity Knocks team. We hosted a variety of make & take projects sponsored by C&T Publishing, Duck Brand and Plaid, taped new episodes of WCK and my Behind These Eyes series, and as always, saw a huge variety of creativity ranging from the natural to the mechanical.    Where else in the world can you find paintings made by snails, giant flaming robots, amazing steampunk and sci-fi costumes, 50 foot long metallic glowing metal serpents, wooden bicycles, Kinetic Pastry Science Mobile Muffins, fun faire food and more?   I thought I’d share with you a peak at some of what caught my eye.   Visit Maker Faire's website for information on all the amazing things on display.
